Govt sanctions `4.95 crore for road construction under MSSY

The Chhattisgarh government said on Thursday it has sanctioned Rs 4,95,58,000 for 49 works related to road construction under the Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Yojana (MSSY) to link all government offices in remote area with the main road.

Under the programme, a total of 1,116 work worth Rs 200 crores will be carried out in 2020, an official statement said.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Public Works Department Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu jointly launched the programme on June 19.

Under this scheme, all government office buildings including schools, hospitals, Anganwadi centres, colleges and fair price shops situated in remote areas will be connected to the main road, said Sahu during the launch.
