Govt nod to resumption of work for State’s first 8-lane-road

The State Government finally gave its nod for resumption of work on eight lane road of Dhanbad after a halt of almost six months. Earlier, a five-member expert committee had emphasized on the necessity of eight lane road construction which was stopped by Hemant Government owing to financial crunch due to Covid-19 crisis. The committee headed by the Town commissioner Satyendar Kumar and having three engineers of separate engineering departments and one administrative officer from district headquarters had inspected the entire stretch of this 24km road and held meetings with people including shopkeepers and had sent report to government through Dhanbad deputy commissioner.
