Govt directs airlines to rectify exorbitant airfares displayed on third party platforms
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked airlines to monitor fares on search engines as “this is causing confusion among public”. These search engines, such as Google, have been showing inflated airfares which has created panic among the people.
The Civil Aviation Ministry has asked airlines to review their fares on third party platforms. In case of any discrepancy, they have been asked to get the same corrected.
