Govt decides to defer resumption of regular international flights; bubble flights to continue
India today decided to rescind its earlier decision to resume regular international flights starting December 15, 2021, and said that a decision on resumption of flights will be taken at a later date. International flights, however, will continue under the existing bubble arrangement.
“In view of the evolving global scenario with the emergence of new variants of concern, the situation is being watched closely in consultation with all stakeholders and an appropriate decision indicating the effective date of resumption of scheduled commercial international passenger services shall be notified in due course,” said an order from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
