Govt calls meet with airline, travel portal execs on Nov 8

The government has called a meeting with senior officials of all airlines and travel portals to discuss consumer grievances on November 8 related to refund after ticket cancellation and paid seats despite free web check-in.

About 10,000 complaints related to the airline sector have been received through the government’s National Consumer Helpline in the last one year, said consumer affairs secretary Rohit Kumar Singh.
