Government should give up their plan to exit Air India: AITUC

The All India Trade Union Congress has urged the central government to give up their plan to exit Air India, saying it is completely a political decision of the government taken at the behest of their corporate masters. “It applies to all the PSUs and not just to Air India,” it said in a statement issued on Friday.

“By not providing level playing fields to the PSUs, this government first brings them to economic collapse and then uses that as a pretext to sell them off,” it said.

Citing another example of BSNL, AITUC said”, “this is the government’s modus operandi”. “It is an irony that this government which boasts of being ultra-nationalist, is bent on selling off government establishments,” it added.
