Goods train derailment hits rail movement

Five wagons of a cement-laden goods train derailed near the Bhubaneswar Railway Station on Monday night affecting rail movement on the route. The mishap took place while the train was on its way to Vizianagaram via Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from Chakradharpur Division.

Following the incident, several trains were rescheduled, cancelled or partially cancelled.

The cancelled trains were Bhubaneswar- Howrah Express, Bhubaneswar- Balangir Express, Puri-Paradip Express, Puri-Barbil Express, Talcher-Puri Express and Paradip- Cuttack passenger train ,

The short terminated trains were Balangir- Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam- Bhubaneswar Express, Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Express, Nayagarh-Town- Bhubaneswar Express,
