Godrej & Boyce creating unnecessary hurdles in land acquisition for bullet train project: Maha govt to HC

OPPOSING THE plea by Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co. Ltd that challenged the land acquisition for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project (Bullet train project), the state government on Tuesday told the Bombay High Court that the company had the ‘lion’s share’ in delaying the same, and so, it cannot be permitted to continue to do so.

The government responded to the firm’s plea challenging the state’s order for acquisition of its 39, 252 square metre (9.69 acre) land for the Bullet train project and said it has deposited Rs 254. 27 crore against the compensation before the competent authority.
