Giga power electronics unit to complete RIL’s green industry circle
NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Ltd on Monday announced a giga-factory for making power electronics in addition to the four similar sized plants for producing photovoltaic panels, energy storage systems, green hydrogen and fuel cells as part of a Rs 75,000 crore new energy foray announced in September 2021.
“One of the key components linking the entire value chain of green energy is affordable and reliable power electronics. We are building significant capabilities in design and manufacturing of power electronics and software systems, integrating with our capabilities of telecommunications, cloud computing and IoT (internet of things) platform,” company chairman Mukesh Ambani told shareholders.
