Get 100% accurate reading of electricity meter; else face strict action: Maharashtra Discom
MUMBAI: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) managing director Vijay Singhal on Friday evening issued a warning that strict action will be taken against agencies and its own employees for wrong/inaccurate electricity meter readings.
The MSEDCL supplies power to 2.8 crore consumers across Maharashtra.
“Under any circumstance, the reading for every electricity meter must be 100% accurate. The inconvenience caused to consumers due to faulty meter readings in power bills and also loss of revenue to MSEDCL due to inaccurate readings will not be tolerated,” Singhal said.
