Gautam Adani to start exporting electricity to energy-starved Bangladesh

In a bid to help energy-starved Bangladesh, Asia’s richest man Gautam Adani has laid down a plan to start exporting electricity from a coal-fired plant in Jharkhand to the South Asian nation before the end of the year.

Taking to Twitter, Adani, who recently broke into the top three in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, said that 1600 MW Godda Power Project in Jharkhand state will provide a dedicated transmission line for the exports by December 16.
