Gadkari, Yogi to inaugurate IRC
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the 81st annual convention of the Indian Road Congress (IRC), to be held in Lucknow after 37 years from October 8 to 11.
More than 2,500 delegates from India and abroad will participate in the event to be held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow. The last such event was held in Lucknow in 1985. This convention started in 1934. UP will host it for the fifth time.
Union Minister of State General VK Singh will also be present. Defence Minister and Lucknow MP, Rajnath Singh has been invited to the concluding session of the IRC, said the Public Works Minister Jitin Prasada in a press conference here on Saturday.
