Fuel prices up again in Maharashtra, diesel now close to 100 Rs per litre
MUMBAI: Amid a fresh hike in fuel prices yesterday, diesel rates are now just 26 paise and 36 paise short of touching Rs 100 per litre in Aurangabad and Amravati districts respectively. And, with another hike expected early this week, Maharashtra will witness the rate breaching Rs 100 mark.
The petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by around Rs 4 per litre in the past six days and this has pinched the common motorists as well as transporters.
On Sunday, the petrol prices went up by 53 paise and diesel by 58 paise in Mumbai. Revised price of petrol in the city is now Rs 113.88 per litre, and of diesel is Rs 98.13 per litre. Whereas, in Thane and Navi Mumbai, while the petrol price has been hiked to Rs 114.02, diesel stands at Rs 98.27.
