Fuel price: BJD to hold State-wide stir from Nov 1

Even as the opposition parties continue their agitation for dismissal of Dibya Shankar Mishra from the Naveen Patnaik Ministry for his alleged involvement in the Mamita Meher murder case, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday targeting the Centre over the increasing fuel prices and announced that it would resort to a State-wide protest over the issue from November 1.

Senior BJD MLAs Pratap Keshari Deb, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Pramilla Mallick told a Oress conference here that the Union Government has completely failed to control the prices of petrol, diesel and other essential commodities.
