From 5 Sep, SpiceJet and IndiGo to shift ops from Delhi’s T2 to T3

NEW DELHI: No frill carriers IndiGo and SpiceJet Ltd, which together account for about two-thirds of the domestic market share, will shift operations from terminal 2 (T2) to terminal 3 (T3) of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi from 5 September, because of capacity enhancement work to be carried out in T2.

IndiGo, India’s largest carrier in terms of market share, will shift a part of its operations to T3, while SpiceJet will shift its entire operations. The two airlines operate out of T1 and T2.

However, flight operations of IndiGo and SpiceJet at terminal 1 (T1) will remain unaffected, according to Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which operates IGIA.
