Four labourers repairing KMP expressway lane killed after truck mows them down
Four migrant labourers were killed and 14 were injured after a truck ran over them near Asoda toll plaza on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway in Jhajjar’s Bahadurgarh area on Thursday morning. The labourers were repairing a lane of the carriageway at the time.
Police said an FIR was registered against the accused truck driver, and the workers’ supervisor and contractor under IPC sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 304-A (death by negligence), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) at Asoda police station. The driver, police said, is absconding and no arrest has been made so far.
