FM Nirmala Sitharaman asks CPSEs in power, mines and atomic energy to scale up capex
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has asked central public sector units (CPSEs) in the power, mines and atomic energy sectors to scale up capital expenditure for FY 2020-21 and FY 2021-22 so as to achieve 75% of the Rs 61,483 crore target by third quarter of the present financial year, and 100% by the fiscal year end.
The direction was given during a meeting with secretaries of the ministries of power, mines and department of atomic energy and the chairman and managing directors of 10 CPSEs belonging to these ministries, on Friday, to review the capital expenditure in this financial year.
