Fire breaks out at unit illegally refilling domestic gas cyclinders

Hyderabad: A massive explosion occurred at an illegal gas cylinder refuelling unit in Prashanth Nagar, Kukatpally, late on Tuesday, triggering panic among local residents. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, police officials confirmed.

According to authorities, the blast occurred around 9 pm, which was operating in violation of safety norms. “There was a blast involving nearly 10 to 15 small cylinders. Prima facie, it appears to have been caused by a gas leak, but a detailed investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause,” an officer from the Kukatpally police station said.
