Fire at ONGC’s Gujarat Hazira plant; extinguished, no casualty reported
MUMBAI: State run-ONGC witnessed a fire at its gas processing unit at Hazira in Gujarat early Thursday, which was extinguished later in the day without any casualties.
The fire was observed around 3.05 am and the unit immediately activated the emergency shutdown. The fire was extinguished by 7:30 am. A company spokesperson said that the fire was because of leakage from a gas line.
