Fire at HPO Dhanbad owing to electric short circuit

Fire broke out at Dhanbad head post office located next to the SSP office on Saturday morning due to an electrical short circuit in the electrical panel causing damage to computers and cables soon after office hours began.

However , it was doused with the help of fire tenders .

Postmaster AK Saw while giving details said that actual assessment of damage is still on but several computers, cables and some other electronic and electrical fixtures kept in the panel room have been damaged.The fire caused due to seepage of rainwater in the panel room, he added.
