FASTags with incomplete KYC to be deactivated by banks in 16 days – Here’s how to update details online before deadline

In order to streamline and enhance electronic toll collection, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has announced to deactivate FASTags lacking Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. The deadline for compliance has been set for January 31, according to an official statement released by the highways authority. This directive is part of the ‘One Vehicle, One FASTag’ initiative, designed to discourage the inappropriate use of a single FASTag across multiple vehicles or linking multiple toll collection tools to a single vehicle.
