Fashionable in India to build metros in small cities — Hyderabad Metro MD
NVS Reddy, Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd., says metros in small cities will feel the financial pinch once repayment of loans begin. While talking to Shantanu Nandan Sharma he argues MetroLite (light urban rail transit system) and MetroNeo (rubber tyre electric coaches powered by overhead traction) are better options for smaller cities.
