Extortion from coal truck owners discussed

The issue of collecting illegally Rs 320 per truck for road sale of coal was discussed in RPDAC meeting of MCL recently. This was raised by Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari demanding strong action by FIG (Northern Range) and district Collector against those collecting extortion money from the truck owners.

Hot discussions are continuing these days on collection of extortion money out of coal supplied to different power plants from MCL by road sale. Truck owners said no loading is given to road sale trucks unless extortion money of Rs 320 is paid by them per trip.

Pujari demanded that being a sensitive issue it should be properly investigated on priority by the district administration.
