Examiners testing pilots’ ATC communication skill lack field experience, say experts

New Delhi: Aviation experts have raised questions on alleged incompetence of examiners responsible for granting licenses to budding pilots for their communication skills while operating flights. Pilots are trained to efficiently communicate with air traffic controllers (ATCs) for all kinds of situations. Post-training, they have to pass a test to obtain a Radio Telephony Restricted License or RTR(A).
