Ex-Biman CFO Vineet Sood to be Alliance Air CEO from month-end
NEW DELHI: The government has appointed former Biman Bnagladesh CFO Vineet Sood as Alliance Air (AA) CEO. Sood will take over the role from July 31, 2021, for a period of three years. Alliance Air, the regional turboprop arm of Air India, will remain the only government-owned fixed wing airline in India once AI and AI Express are privatised, a process expected to be completed this fiscal.
Sood will take over from Harpreet A De Singh, AI’s ED and chief of flight safety before being appointed as CEO of AA last October.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Sood did B Com (Hons) from Delhi’s Shri Ram College of Commerce and went on to become a CA.
