EV two-wheeler sales breach FY23 figures despite cut in FAME-II subsidy
The Centre, on Friday, informed that the electric vehicle (EV) two-wheeler sales have increased in the current financial year 2023-2024 (FY24) at 734,760 units so far, despite reducing the subsidy to 15 per cent of the ex-factory price from the existing 40 per cent under the ‘FAME India Phase-II’ scheme.
The information was shared by the Minister of State for Heavy Industries, Krishan Pal Gurjar, in a written reply in Rajya Sabha amid the ongoing Budget session of the Parliament.
