EV registrations in Delhi crosses one lakh mark
The number of electric vehicles registered in Delhi has crossed 1 lakh since the launch of the national capital’s EV policy in August 2020, according to a report of Times of India.
The report, citing data from transport department, said that 1,24,846 electric vehicles were sold till May, of which 65% were two-wheelers and three-wheelers, and 10.24% were four-wheelers.
Last month, 14.5% of all vehicles sold in Delhi were EVs with 7,611 electric vehicles being registered.
Meanwhile, to further increase the adoption of electric vehicles in the workplace, the Delhi government is plannning to give government employees subsidies and charging facilities at cheaper rates under its next EV policy, added the report.
