ESL installs four Solar water pumps in Chandankiyari villages

Aiming to provide safe and clean drinking water to the villagers Vedanta-Electrosteel Steels Limited (ESL) installed solar-powered water pumps in four villages of Chandankiyari under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Solar-powered water pumps were installed at Alkusa, Chandha, Babugram and Siyaljori villages were inaugurated by their Sristidhar Rajwar, a member of Zila Parishad, Poonam Toppo OC Siyaljori Police Station, Kashi Nath Sekhar and Veena Devi village chiefs respectively. While inaugurating the solar pump Poonam Toppo said, this is a very good initiative from the company, now the villagers can get clean and safe drinking water.

Speaking on the occasion Sristidhar Rajwar said there is a lot of water scarcity not only in the district but across the state too, so we should also pay attention to water conservation and prevent wastage of water.
