In a significant development, the city of Rourkela in Odisha is poised to launch a direct air link with Kolkata, enhancing connectivity and convenience for travellers. The initiative is backed by the Odisha government and is part of a state-sponsored route aimed at bolstering regional accessibility.
The Chief Minister’s Office confirmed the government’s commitment to this endeavor on Tuesday (December 26), emphasising its support through Viability Gap Funding (VGF) for 35 seats.
