Ministers holding the portfolio of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Power and New and Renewable Energy have returned with the same portfolio in the Modi 2.0 government.
But the Coal and Mines Ministry has a new face in Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, who has got the additional charge of the Ministry of Steel, said the focus is on continuing the work initiated in his earlier tenure.
Boosting oil production
Speaking to reporters after taking charge, Pradhan said, “Boosting the domestic production of oil and gas will be a priority for the government. In the last five years, there have been multiple initiatives and un-bottlenecking, the fruits of which will be borne during this tenure.
