Electricity usage above 200 units in Delhi to cost more, power minister Atishi slams Centre

NEW DELHI: Delhi power consumers who utilise more than 200 units of electricity per month will face increased charges following an 8 per cent rise in the power purchase adjustment cost (PPAC).

Minister Atishi accused the Central government of “mismanagement,” asserting that the escalating cost of electricity in the city is the result.

Atishi told the press on Monday that the hike would not affect consumers who consume 200 units or less. Those consumers who are ineligible for subsidies will witness an 8 per cent surge in the PPAC surcharge included in their power bills.
