Electricity: Record revenue collection in November

The month of November, 2019, has been recorded as a milestone in the history of the power sector of Madhya Pradesh. Revenue collection in November has been Rs 2,017 crore, which is Rs 413 crore more compared to November 2018. Thus, about 26 percent more revenue has been received, which is the highest revenue collection of one month till date in the state. Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh has congratulated the electricity consumers and the staff of the three power distribution companies.

It may be noted that comparing July to November in the year 2018 to this year 2019, Rs 1,687 crores more revenue has been collected in these months. Similarly, cash revenue recovery per unit has been increased to Rs 4 and 14 paise in November this year as compared to Rs 2 and 34 paise last year. This is 77 percent more than November last year.
