Electric Vehicle

To reduce range anxiety amongst potential customers regarding electric vehicles, union government will install one electric vehicle charging station after every 4 kms in cities and 25 kms on both ways of highways connecting to these cities. The power ministry has revised the guidelines for setting up charging stations in the country, to increase availability of charging-related infrastructure in the next decade.

The plan to increase charging infrastructure will go through different phases wherein the mega cities with a population of over 4 million and highways connected to these cities will be considered in the first one- to three-year period.
