Eicher enters SCV segment with e-truck in 2- to 3.5-tonne segment , plans CNG and diesel variants too
Eicher Trucks and Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles has announced its entry into the Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) segment with the global unveil of its EV-first Eicher Truck at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.
The company has launched the Pro Business Pro Planet range available from 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne GVW.
Eicher’s SCV vehicle is scheduled for customer trials in April 2024, with commercial rollout expected in the first quarter of 2025. The CV maker will first introduce the electric variant, progressively moving towards CNG and diesel variants. The product has been designed and developed in India and will be manufactured at the state-of-the-art facility in Bhopal.
