EESL, Ahmedabad civic body ink pact to develop EV infra
In a bid to boost electric mobility, Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) have entered into a partnership to establish infrastructure for electric vehicles (EV) in urban areas over a 10-year period.
Under the terms of the MoU signed today – the World Environment Day 2019 – AMC and EESL will jointly work to fast-track the adoption of e-mobility in Ahmedabad by installing around 100 public charging stations and promoting electric vehicles on rental and purchase basis.
Cost sharing
The entire investment for services pertaining to MoU will be borne by EESL along with the operation and maintenance of public charging infrastructure. AMC will be responsible for provision of space for infrastructure and requisite power connection, including load sanction and meter connections.
