ED continues interrogating officials in Illegal mining case

The Enforcement Directorate is continuing with the interrogation of mining department officials in the alleged illegal mining case in the State, which is said to be in the tune of over Rs 1000 crore. Sources said the ED officials are interrogating the District Mining Officer of Sahebganj for the last five days.

The ED team has already arrested JMM leader Pankaj Mishra and his close confidant Bachchu Yadav in the illegal mining scam case and has sent them to jail. Notably, more than half a dozen people have been questioned in this case so far. Also, a ship worth Rs 30 crores has also been seized and bank transactions worth crores have been recovered.
