DVC playing vital role in inclusive growth of country: Minister
Power companies have a significant role in the development of the country especially North-east India. Role of DVC is also vital in inclusive growth of the country; DVC has contributed a significant role in the upliftment of the society which can never be forgotten, said Jagarnath Mahato, Education Minister Jharkhand.
Mahato was speaking during the concluding session of “Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya Power 2047” programme organized at Chandrapura Thermal Power Station (CTPS) Chandrapura— a unit of DVC on Saturday.
The Minister said, Jharkhand Government has announced to provide 100 units of electricity to the poor per month free of cost, it will be implemented immediately. He urged the Central Government that the Government of India should also cooperate in providing free electricity to the people of Jharkhand.
