Dugri bypass in a shambles

The 200-feet wide Dugri bypass, under the jurisdiction of the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA), lies in a shambles giving bumpy ride to motorists. However, despite much hue and cry raised by residents of several residential localities and commercial centres across the road, the GLADA authorities had failed to take any remedial measures.

The Council of Engineers (CoE) has now served a notice upon the GLADA authorities for proper repair and recarpeting of the road within seven days failing which the association would move Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, or the National Green Tribunal (NGT) for redressal of legitimate grievance of the residents.
