Domestic carriers to operate 8% more this winter

The Center on Monday raised domestic airlines’ ’Winter Schedule 2023’ or planned flight operations per week by 8.16% on a year-on-year basis.

Accordingly, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved slots for 23,732 flight departures per week, more than the 21,941 allocated during the winter schedule in 2022.

On a sequential basis, the ‘Winter Schedule 2023’ has 3.60% more flights than the 22,907 departures per week approved for the ‘Summer Schedule 2023’.
