Diesel demand rises 6.7% in April, petrol jumps 2.5%

The demand for diesel jumped 6.7% in April over the same month last year, aided by the harvesting season and overall economic expansion.
Diesel sales fared much better than petrol, which rose 2.5% year-on-year in April, according to the provisional sales figures of state-run oil marketing companies.
