DGCA suspends 2 IndiGo pilots for flying with tail prop attached

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) today said that they have suspended two IndiGoNSE 0.85 % pilots after they risked the safety of passengers by continuing to fly with tail prop attached with the aircraft.

Tail props are used on the ground to provide support to an aircraft, which would otherwise fall towards the back and is the plane is not to be flown with it hanging.

The aviation regulator has suspended both the ATR pilots after the investigation into an incident that was reported on July 24, 2019.
