DGCA orders safety audit of IndiGo aircraft

New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday said that it has ordered a safety audit of IndiGo. The audit of IndiGoNSE 0.80 % is significant, as it operates the A320neo aircraft that are fitted with Pratt & Whitney engines, which are facing intermittent technical glitches with its operations.

“We confirm that there is currently a DGCA audit on IndiGo which is combined with the annual main base audit. IndiGo has received a limited number of show cause notices. IndiGo has responded accordingly and we can only comment on this matter after we have a discussion with DGCA on this matter,” the airline said in a statement.
