DGCA orders IndiGo to submit action plan, fortnightly progress reports as cancellations spike; says monitoring situation

As IndiGo continues to grapple with unprecendented number of flight cancellations for a third consecutive day on Thursday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation instructed the airline to file a detailed action plan to stabilise operations. The body further directed the aviation gaint to submit progress reports every 15 days, detailing improvements in operations, crew availability and roster stability.

The regulator issued the directive after daily cancellations surged to around 170–200 flights this week — far exceeding normal levels.
