DGCA calls for urgent meeting with IndiGo, GoAir on aircraft engine glitches
New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has called for an urgent meeting with officials of no-frill carriers IndiGo and GoAir on Wednesday afternoon in the wake of several glitches faced by Pratt & Whitney (P&W) engines that power Airbus A320 Neo planes operated by these airlines.
“An urgent meeting with GoAir and IndiGo airlines has been called in the afternoon to review performance of Airbus Neo aircraft in their fleet,” the DGCA said on a twitter post on Wednesday morning.
In the past few months, IndiGo and GoAir, which operate P&W-powered Airbus A320 Neo planes, faced several glitches, often leading to temporary groundings.
