Delhi to Gurugram in just 7 minutes! IndiGo parent to bring all-electric air taxi service in India by 2026; check expected fare, details
Imagine a transport system that allows you to travel from Delhi to Gurugram in just 7 minutes! InterGlobe Enterprises, the parent company of IndiGo, India’s leading airline, has partnered with Archer Aviation, a US-based company, to introduce an all-electric air taxi service in India by 2026.
According to a PTI report, the service will initially connect Connaught Place in Delhi to Gurugram in Haryana, reducing the travel time to just 7 minutes! Archer Aviation will provide 200 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, which can accommodate four passengers and a pilot, offering a quieter and safer alternative to traditional helicopters.
The joint venture between InterGlobe and Archer Aviation plans to expand the service to Mumbai and Bengaluru in the initial phase.
