Delhi Metro hits 110 kmph on Airport Express Line
NEW DELHI: People going to Indira Gandhi International Airport from Shivaji Stadium will take just around 15 minutes on Delhi Metro’s Airport Express Line with the operational speed of the trains on the line increasing to 110 kmph on Thursday.
Earlier, the same route took around 20 minutes. The travel time for the full trip from New Delhi to Dwarka Sector 21 will reduce by over four minutes to just around 19 minutes.
“With the enhancement of train speed to 110 kmph, DMRC has set a new benchmark in the Indian Metro sector. It continues to hold the distinction of being one of the fastest metro train systems in India,” said Anuj Dayal, principal executive director, corporate communications, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
