Flyers from US, UK and African continent will be greeted by policemen in their own accents at the Delhi Indira Gandhi International airport! With an aim to boost policemen’s confidence to communicate with travellers from the US, UK and Africa to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, they have been imparted knowledge in foreign accents. A crash course workshop was organised in this regard, according to a HT report. Such programmes will continue.
Policemen have said that they faced the biggest hurdle in form of foreign accents to help and communicate with foreign travellers. Under this three-day workshop, policemen were given teachings on how to pronounce words. They were also asked to read articles and watch video links. Policemen were advised to watch shows on TV channels of US and British. Budget airline IndiGo hosted training programme in Gurugram.
