Delhi: How govt plans to free Peeragarhi junction of congestion
NEW DELHI: Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday inspected the Peeragarhi traffic junction in north Delhi where decongestion has been planned, including widening of the road, a new flyover, foot overbridges, etc. The Public Works Department is expected to complete the project in the next one and a half years.
“The Kejriwal government is committed to provide a hassle-free commuting experience to all people. Now, the project to decongest Peeragarhi junction has been taken up from Jwala Heri Market (Chaudhary Balbir Singh Marg) traffic signal to Jwalapuri traffic signal, NH-10,” said Sisodia.
As part of the plan, the government will develop an integrated transit corridor to decongest the road and provide smooth traffic movement.
