Delhi govt to boost power infrastructure in Civil Lines area

New Delhi: Delhi govt is planning to strengthen the infrastructure for power supply in the Civil Lines area, where key govt installations and VVIP residential complexes are located, by setting up a new sub-station and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

The initiative aims to bolster contingency arrangements for the VVIP power supply network – also known as the Civil Lines Grids – and reduce dependence on the 400 kV Mandola substation, officials said.
