Delhi: Comprehensive training programme planned for EV mechanics

NEW DELHI: With the aim of becoming India’s training hub for the electric vehicle workforce, the Delhi government on Friday announced that it is creating a comprehensive training programme for EV mechanics.

The government said in a statement that Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) would design an integrated course for training its ‘Diploma in Automobile Engineering’ programme students to become EV mechanics. Every year, 100 students will be trained and provided with relevant internship and apprenticeship opportunities, it said.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between DSEU, WRI India, and Hero Electric Vehicles Ltd on Friday.
